How Tesla’s next generation vehicles may nearly cut the need for copper in half #18

Today’s video answers two important questions.

First question, will the coming transition to battery electric vehicles be slowed down or stopped because of a lack of copper needed to make such vehicles.

Second question, will the need for more copper create new supply chain risks for the global auto industry.

In answering these questions, I will also consider new technologies developed by Tesla and others that will be able to reduce the need for copper by nearly 50% in forthcoming battery electric vehicles.
